Careers Scotland provides free career planning advice to people of all ages throughout Scotland. Anybody can access help in planning their career by contacting Careers Scotland in the following ways.
• Call the national help line 0845 8 502 502 for career planning advice or to make an appointment with a qualified careers adviser.
• Visit our website at www.careers-scotland.org.uk. to access a range of services and career planning information. The Careers Scotland site contains information on career planning finding work, education and training. There is also a CV builder facility and an on line interest guide called CareerMatch
• Drop into their local Careers Scotland centre. In Edinburgh the Careers Scotland centre is located at 79 Shandwick Place, EH2 4SD. Use the centre, which has numerous resources supported by careers staff, to plan your career or for job search purposes.

Careers Guidance Services, HE Higher Education Careers Services in the Edinburgh area can be accessed by recent graduates of UK Universities (normally up to two years after graduation), but the services available vary with each institution.Graduates can check what is available to them on the relevant website.

The service may include access to:
• individual careers advice - professional help with career choice, career change, job hunting and applications, graduate CVs and interviews
• information about local, national and international graduate employers, sources of graduate vacancies and voluntary opportunities
• comprehensive specialist careers information resources for graduates
• information on postgraduate study in the UK and some overseas countries
• relevant Careers Service events - e.g. employer presentations, recruitment fairs, workshops and seminars.
