Partners in Education
is a programme which provides free supported pathways into
education, training and employment for people with a background
of homelessness. We offer a free six-month, part-time programme
including guidance, confidence building, SQA modules and
links to further opportunities tailored to your needs. If
you are aged 16-34 and need support to move into further

Second Chance to Learn
provides free courses for adults who have gained little
from the formal education system including starter courses

supports families through homelessness into resettlement.

'Stepping Stones' Edinburgh
University Settlement Mental Health Programme If you have
experience of mental heath problems and would like to learn
in a supportive atmosphere then Stepping Stones can offer
you groups in creative writing, drama, women's art and more.
We also have a film club, computers you can use and an arts

· New Horizons: Come along for one day or evening a week
to learn in a friendly informal atmosphere. Courses begin

Women onto Work
courses are open to women aged 25 and over who have been
out of work for over a year. We run courses for women living
in South Edinburgh, Craigmillar, Wester Hailes and Pilton;
and citywide for women living in certain other areas of
Edinburgh and for disabled women and black and minority
ethnic women. We help you to explore your options in work,
education and training and offer guidance, assertiveness
training, confidence building, interview and CV skills,
and a work placement. We provide childcare and expenses.

Workers' Educational Association
offers educational opportunities for adults of all ages.
Course include confidence building, return to learning,
women's studies, community history, political studies, creative
writing and art workshops, music and 'Pre-Retirement.' Courses
take place across the city. No qualifications are needed
to take part and some courses lead to an SQA qualification.
