Adult Learning Project offers a programme to help people become active in the life of their communities. A wide variety of workshops, study circles and classes are offered including history, women's studies, politics and democracy, traditional music, song and dance. The Ca(I)re Project supports anyone living in Edinburgh who is caring for someone on an unpaid basis. We understand that looking after someone brings many demands and pressures and that often carers' own well being can take second place. We put carers' needs first by providing essential support, learning opportunities and information. All of our courses, events and services are free and are available to carers and former carers. City Centre Community Education Team We aim to work with learners and organisations to develop and offer learning experiences that are relevant to different needs. We also recognise and promote the key contributions people of all ages make in changing and improving their community in a variety of ways. Community Based English as a Second Language (ESL) provides courses for men and women living permanently in Edinburgh and the Lothians who want to learn or improve their English.
